Community Education at Chaffey College offers educational opportunities to lifelong learners of all ages, including children. Our mission is to make high-quality professional development, continuing education, and youth programs accessible to our community. We offer programs that provide you and your family opportunities to learn, grow, and develop. Our programs are funded through program enrollment fees and are not funded with tax dollars.
Community Education's Summer Youth Academies are scheduled both morning and afternoons during the summer months of June and July. Our Summer Youth Academies do not result in college or high school credit; nor do they meet credit course prerequisite requirements. Community Education's Summer Youth Academies are available to anyone within the listed age groups and grades.
Our Summer Reading, Language, and Math Academies are designed to help your students maintain and enhance the concepts they learned through the school year and get ahead in learning new concepts they will encounter in the next grade. These classes will help strengthen skills through repetition and reinforcement. This is a great way to prepare your student for the next grade level! Each common core-based academy will be led by a credentialed teacher.
In addition, we are also offering our popular Summer Youth Tech Academies that will introduce fun and educational concepts in subjects such as robotics and video game design. This year we are thrilled to offer academies in Performing Arts with our Virtual Piano Academy and Career Academies such as Virtual Surgeon, where you child can learn to perform complex virtual surgeries.
